The San Francisco Food Bank advocates on the local, state and federal levels for better policies and legislation that will guarantee adequate nutrition for everyone. Our activities include:
- Educating elected officials about the problem of hunger and policy solutions
- Mobilizing our donors, volunteers and community to speak up against hunger
- Participating in the citywide Food Security Task Force that outlines actions that the Board of Supervisors and the Mayor can take to address hunger in our communities
- Partnering with food banks throughout the state and country to address hunger at the national level
